About our Adult Dance Program
Forty106 Dance Project's Adult Dance Programming is desigend for teen and adult dancers ages 14+ of all abilites and levels. Whether a student has years of dance experience or wants to learn dance for the first time, theses classes are perfect.
Keeping true to its mission of enhancing artistry and self exploration, all classes are fun, educational, and challenging, even for the more advanced dancers.
There are two movement pathways to explore - Movement Series & Movement Basics. Read more about thees paths below.
Drop-ins allow for flexibility; however, we encourage trying at least one month of classes in order to gain the beginning fundamentals offered, especailly if you are new to dance.

Forty106 offers two pathways of learning - Movement Series and Movement Basics. Dancers are welcomet to choose one path or they can decide to combine pathways to optimize their training.
Movement Series
Movement Series classes are full hour classes focused on moving and gaining confidence while dancing to the music.
Movement Basics
Movement Basics classes are 45 minute classes focused on the beginner dancer, supporting tht building the fundamental skills necessary in each each genre to feel confident and comfortable in any dance scenario.
Movement Series: Contemporary
A fusion of modern, jazz, and ballet, this style explores the versitility of each genre mixed with emotional connection to the music through a well-rounded technical warm up and fun, expressive combinations.

Movement Series: Ballet
This is an all level class meant for the development and refinement of basic ballet technique through exercises at the barre, center work, and across the floor. Participants will continue to refine their ballet terminology and steps, proper body alignment, and musicality.

2023/2024 Season Tuition
Tuition rates are for September 2023 thru May 2024 including studio holidays. A full season includes a minimum of 31 lessons. Tuition fees are paid monthly or annually. A $5 registration fee is required for each NEW mover registering for classes, excluding Drop-in classes. Tuition is posted on the 1st of the month and collected on the 15th of the current month. The credit card on file will be charged through auto-pay. Please note, auto-pay convience fees will be incurred.

DISCOUNTS
> FREE Trial Class (1 per dancer) available by request. Free trial classes are for those dancers who have never danced with us before, who want to try a new genre, and those who are finding the right class for their dance journey.
> Current Steamboat Dance Theatre (SDT) members, with proof of membership, will receive a 15% discount on monthly tuition. No discount on drop-in classes. Email Meg directly with proof of membership in order to receive this discount.
> Dance Teachers and Working Professionals - Drop-in class $5. Email Meg indicating you are a current dance teacher, naming your home studio, and or indicating your current working credentials. Notification of credentials is required PRIOR to attending or registering for class. Discount will not be prorated.
> High School and College Students - Drop-in classes class $15/hour class. Email Meg with proof of valid ID.
> Annual pre-pay options with discounts available. Email to inquire.

Frequently Asked questions
All classes are help at Steamboat Dance + Fitness.
Steamboat Dance + Fitness is located at 1955 Bridge Lane, suite 1900 on the West end of town next to Excel Gymnastics.
Parking is available to patrons of Steamboat Dance + Fitness in reserved spots 3 thru 9, in front of Excel Gymnastics, and along Shield Dr and James Brown Bridge. After regular business hours, additional parking is available in front of the Public Defender's office.
Please note, if you choose to park in other reserved parking spots (not 3 thru 9), your car is subject to towing at the owners expense. Please respect our neighbors.
You can sign up for monthly classes and drop in classes by clicking on the Portal Login tab at the top of the page. New students will be required to create an account through DanceStudio Pro. Current students will sign in using their login credentials.
Forty106 Dance Project classes have few regulations when it comes to your comfort of your choice in dancewear. We ask that you reframe from wearing jeans or any type of clothing that restricts your overall movement. Exercise clothing such as leggings and a comfortable top is sufficient. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible while attending class.
SHOES? Depends on the class.
Contemporary class has the option of wearing socks, paws, turing shoes, or bare feet.
Ballet class has the option of wearing socks or ballet shoes. Barefeet are ok in a pinch, but not recommended.
