Forty106 Dance Project's Adult Programming is open to all types of movers ages 14 years and older. All classes are ALL LEVEL, unless otherwise noted.
All classes are 60 mins, unless otherwise noted
Monthly tuition is based on how many classes occur in that month. A 4-class month is $72/month. A 5-week month is $90. Classes require a minimum of 6 movers for the class to offically run. Registration for the month is prefered.

In general, tight-fitting clothing that allows the dancer to feel comfortable and affords proper instruction is recommended. Some dancers prefer to wear leotard and dance tights, dance shorts or skirts, but this is not required.
Ballet: Ballet shoes prefered; socks ok.
Contemporary/Jazz: socks, paws, Jazz shoes, bare feet
Tap: Tap shoes required; sneakers ok for trial class
Scottish: Highland Ghillies; socks, jazz shoes; clean indoor sneakers

All-Level Technique w Alexa: This dance technique class is designed for all levels of experience. You will learn fundamental movements and sharpen up skills to build a strong foundation in various dance styles. The class will focus on improving your coordination, flexibility, strength, and musicality. Jazz shoes or socks are appropriate foot attire. You are never too old to go back to the basics!
This class is meant for the development and refinement of basic ballet technique through exercises at the barre, center work, and across the floor. This class is a mixed level class.
A fusion of modern, jazz, and ballet, this style explores the versatility of each genre through a well-rounded technical warm up and fun, expressive combinations.
Heels w Courtney: Channel your sultry side with this confidence boosting heels class. Each class will begin with a warm up and stretch, followed by across the floor progressions to practice heels techniques, and finish with a sexy and fun jazz funk dance combination. This class will go in deep to explore our connection to music, dance lines, grooves, self love, plus more. Each class will build on the last and it is recommended to attend all 4 classes.
Improv Fusion w Courtney: Explore your inner creativity and connect emotion with dance movement in this dynamic improvisational fusion class. This class will explore shape, musicality, texture plus more in a blending of dance styles. This class will start with a warm up and stretching, followed by improvisation dance exercises and games. Come as you are, for the first time dancer or experienced, and be prepared to harness your inner creativity and take steps out of your comfort zone. Each class will build on the last and it is recommended to attend all 4 classes.
Jazz w Courtney: A playful and energetic class for the first time and experienced dancers. This class will begin with a heart pumping full body warm up, followed by dynamic stretching. We will build progressions across the floor to practice the fundamentals of jazz dance and then finish with a stylized dance combination. Each class will build on the last and it is recommended to attend all 4 classes.
This class will review the basics of jazz technique and terminology while developing strength and flexibility, dynamic, rhythmic movement quality, and personal style with focus on proper technique and alignment and musicality.
Jazz Funk w Alexa: This class is a high-energy fusion of jazz and funk dance styles. Alexa will teach a variety of choreography and techniques to some of your favorite pop hits, new and old! Come ready to groove, sweat, and have fun! All levels are welcome. Sneakers or Jazz shoes are appropriate foot attire.
This class is an open level modern dance class designed for movers to explore modern technique and styles from a variety of perspectives, allowing the dancer to explore and hone in on their individual dance style. Styles and techniques exlpored in this class include, but are not limited to, Martha Graham Technique and Paul Taylor style
Highland dancing is an energetic and very technical dance style that involves stamina, agility, mobility, and the right technique
Tap dance is rooted in American history. Tap, similar to Jazz Music, has complex,syncopated rhythms. This class is designed for build the fundamentals of basic rhythms and establish a greater sense of musicality. All Levels welcome
Tap Jams w Chelsea: Tap Jams is a 4 week, rhythm based tap series where we'll focus on syncopation and choreography retention. Each week we'll have a different song and learn a new set of fun choreography. We're gonna have a blast and JAM together! Some tap experience is recommended.
